Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team! As a Speech Therapist, you will be meeting with new patients, assessing their speech needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all patient care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, is able to provide compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions
Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short and long term goals for their speech and wellness
Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome
Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients itself to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Qualifications
Active state license for practicing speech therapy
Excellent organizational skills
Strong charting and documentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
Ability to pass background checks and meet other employment requirements as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges.
Previous experience working with the Jewish community and diverse age groups.
Familiarity with the implementation of therapy in various settings (e.g., schools, homes, community).
Experience using technology and software for data collection and analysis
