    Speech Therapist – Home Health

    We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Speech Therapist in San Antonio, TX to provide high-quality in-home care. Our organization is growing and expanding our team to better serve our patients in Central and South Texas.

    Job Summary:

    The Speech Therapist's primary role is to provide coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Administer speech therapy treatment plans as developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Apply infection control and standard precautions when performing patient care activities.
    • Accept clinical assignments that align with education and competence to care for patients.
    • Use effective interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients and caregivers.
    • Participate in agency-sponsored in-service training programs.
    • Promote compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payors through education and guidance.
    • Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competency.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Licensure: Active state license as a Speech Therapy Assistant and a valid driver’s license.
    • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant is preferred.
    • Certifications: Current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile.
    • Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and write English (Bilingual preferred).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing for prolonged periods.
    • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet patient needs.
    • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed in healthcare facilities or patients’ homes under various conditions.
    • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
    • Some exposure to inclement weather.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Pay: From $90,000 per year
