Speech Therapy Job Description

Speech and Language Therapist and Speech and Language Pathology Assistant: Your job is to engage with clients and families within the speech and language therapy scope of practice, including providing support for communication, verbal skills, and social interaction skills.

Responsibilities:

· Complete initial client evaluation and speech/communication profile to identify strengths and barriers to participation; write up report and lesson plans.

· Create treatment goals and update as needed.

· Provide weekly, or as needed, sessions for clients; support family as needed.

· Collaborate with client to establish client goals and plan of care based on assessment data.

· Provide adequate and necessary treatment to reach identified goals.

· Monitor and document client progress and reassess as necessary.

· Provide education to clients and their families and collaborate with all team members.

· Maintain client records and necessary insurance documentation.

· Schedule therapy sessions and cancellations.

· Self Motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

· Other essential duties that support the clinic, such as cleaning.

· As needed individual and group supervision, as either supervisor or supervisee that meets all WA state standards and expectations.
