    We are seeking a Camera Rental House Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations.

    Spekulor is a creative production company and rental house based in Hawthorne California. We provide the people, gear, and capabilities to create innovative content for Brands, networks, and Individuals. Our team is creative, technically skilled, and growing.

    We are looking for a operations/rental house manager with experience working and systemizing our rental division.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with clients in regards to orders.
    • Make sure items are not double booked.
    • Coordinate and create estimates for clients and oversee the rental team.
    • Establish prospecting, quotas, and sales goals for the team.
    • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.
    • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
    • Report on team and individual performance.
    • Develop and execute innovative outreach strategies.
    • Build and form new relationships with potential clients.
    • Manage and improve operational practices
    • Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines
    • Track and forecast operational trends and analysis
    • Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams
    • Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations

    Qualifications:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of video gear (Camera, Lighting, Video Village, Accessories, etc.)
    • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
    • Maintain a professional and positive attitude (especially under pressure).
    • Able to communicate well, as well as act in accord to the betterment of the company.
    • Must have transportation.
    • Previous experience in pro film equipment rentals, customer service, or related fields.
    • Familiarity with Rental software is an added bonus.

    • Previous experience in operations or other related fields

    Basic Functions: Oversee and maintain a large and diverse collection of digital and 16mm film production equipment and projection systems. Manage student checkout and returns of equipment. Enforce departmental equipment policies. Provide technical and operational classroom and teaching support for departmental faculty.

    Job Functions:

    • Prepping and organizing equipment packages for daily student checkout.
    • Ensuring that returned equipment is complete and in working order, including required follow-up with students and faculty.
    • Supervising the day-to-day operation of equipment room (check-in/out of the film and digital equipment), maintaining all production equipment (cameras, lights, sound recorders, tripods, microphones, etc.), performing necessary repairs or sending equipment out for repair, maintaining 16mm/35mm projectors and editing equipment, shipping out the film for processing.
    • Maintaining and updating equipment inventory. Ordering supplies and equipment repairs using Denison's online procurement system.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge and usage of film/digital production equipment. Lifting up to 50 lbs. and bending and stooping.

    Preferred Qualifications: BA or BFA in film/video production. 1-3 years of experience with Apple OS X, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other Creative Cloud applications, as well as Arriflex SR/S and Éclair NPR/ACL film cameras.
