    Job Description:

    Payroll Processing: Process payroll for employees, including calculating and verifying hours worked, overtime, and any special payments or deductions.

    Data Entry: Accurately enter payroll data into the payroll system, including employee information, hours worked, and other relevant details.

    Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date with any changes in tax laws and employment regulations.

    Benefits Administration: Administer and accurately deduct employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement contributions, and other deductions.

    Payroll Deductions: Calculate and deduct payroll-related items such as taxes, garnishments, and voluntary deductions from employee paychecks.

    Payroll Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to management and other relevant departments as needed. These reports may include tax summaries, earnings statements, and payroll reconciliations.

    Timekeeping: Maintain and update employee time and attendance records, ensuring they match payroll data.

    Problem Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees in a timely and professional manner.

    Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, both electronic and physical, for audit and reporting purposes.

    Year-End Processes: Prepare and distribute year-end tax documents such as W-2s and 1099s, and ensure timely submission to the appropriate tax authorities.

    Payroll System Maintenance: Keep the payroll software or system up to date, making sure it is functioning properly and efficiently.

    Communication: Communicate payroll changes, deadlines, and other relevant information to employees and management.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in accounting, finance, or payroll is a plus.

    Proven experience in payroll processing and a good understanding of payroll laws and regulations.

    Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.

    Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
