    JOB DESCRIPTION: Sponsored Service Supervisor

    This position should have management and leadership experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and looking for a meaningful work life. Leverage your skills to make an impact in people’s lives. This agency is seeking an energetic and zealous human services professional to serve as a Sponsored Service Supervisor in the sponsor home service.

    Report to: Executive Sponsor

    Position Description:

    This position supports those individuals served in a sponsored home setting. This is a passionate leader who can successfully assist in directing direct support professionals (DSPs) to provide high quality services to developmentally disabled individuals. In this role, the supervisor will help manage the day-to-day operations with the support of the Program Director.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Sponsored Residential Program Manager

    Assist in the development and the delivery of quality services and engaging activities that meet the individual’s needs.

    Supports the Executive Sponsor in day to day operations in compliance with regulatory requirements

    Plans, coordinates and evaluates staff efforts to achieve program, organization and resident outcomes

    Writes and implements Person Centered Plans (PCPs)

    Completes required documentation

    Ensures on-going communication with planning team

    Shares responsibility for timekeeping and billing for services provided, as requested.

    Builds and maintains relationships with families, support coordinators, and regulatory agencies

    Prepares incident reports for both internal and external agencies as needed

    Develops and implements activity schedules

    Works with Executive Sponsor to oversee resident care, supervision, and safety

    Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Bachelor’s degree in a human service- related field or 3 years’ experience in a human services delivery system including at least 1 year in a comparable program

    Must have a hunger for and aspire to work with people with intellectual disabilities and other physical or mental illness. At least 3 years of experience providing supports to persons with developmental disabilities

    Demonstrated leadership ability

    Ability to effectively establish and maintain meaningful relationships

    Ability to coordinate activities and services to meet the on-going needs of individuals served

    Strong follow through to ensure quality services, regulations and residents rights are upheld

    High energy, goal-oriented, and an ability to inspire people

    Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

    Must pass background investigation and central registry check

    Participate in most administrative team meetings and decision making.

    Represent the agency at public relations, fundraising, or other activities as directed by the Executive Director.

    Actively participate in continuous quality improvement program

    Assist in maintenance of professional licensure through the DBHDS Professional Licensure.
