Position Summary:
Sawmill Sports Hub is a new premier indoor sports facility, offering a wide range of sports, events, and entertainment for youth and adults. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead and grow our sponsorship revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, marketing, and partnerships, with a passion for sports and community engagement.
As the Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing sponsorship opportunities that align with the mission and vision of the facility. You will work closely with our marketing, events, and operations teams to create and implement customized sponsorship packages for corporate partners. This role requires excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship sales strategy to meet revenue goals.
Responsible for securing branding partners who will adorn the facility with their corporate brand i.e. overall naming rights, faciality assets naming rights and targeted high visibility areas of the facility.
Identify and target potential sponsors in various industries, including local and national businesses, for sports events, facility programs, and other opportunities.
Create customized sponsorship packages tailored to the specific needs and goals of each sponsor.
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential sponsors, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Work closely with the marketing and events teams to integrate sponsorship activations into facility events, tournaments, and daily programming.
Manage the negotiation and execution of sponsorship contracts, ensuring compliance and delivery of sponsor benefits.
Track and report on sponsorship sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Oversee sponsor fulfillment and activation, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to develop new and innovative sponsorship opportunities.
Represent the facility at community and corporate events to network and cultivate new business relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sports management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in sponsorship or corporate partnerships.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and securing high-value sponsorships.
Strong understanding of marketing, branding, and promotional strategies.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of the sports industry and experience working with corporate sponsors in a sports or event-driven environment is a plus.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Compensation Structure: Salary + Commission
5% commission on the first $200,000 of sponsorship annual revenue
7.5% commission on revenue between $200,001 and $300,000
10% commission on revenue above $300,001 to $400,000
15% above $400,000
