Location: Silicon Valley Academy Position: Soccer Instructor Schedule: Monday & Wednesday, 3:30 PM - 4:30 (Starting Jan 13th) Pay: $75 - $150/day Position Type: Part-time
Program Overview: i9 Sports is seeking a passionate and experienced Soccer Instructor for our Enrichment Program at Silicon Valley Academy. The program will focus on teaching fundamental soccer skills using fun drills and activities for children aged 4-12. The classes will be held twice a week, with a break on January 20 and February 17. This is a great opportunity to inspire and teach soccer to young learners in a fun and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach engaging and age-appropriate soccer lessons for children aged 4-12, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Develop and execute drills that promote basic soccer techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. Tailor activities to different age groups and skill levels.
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students, ensuring proper safety protocols and equipment usage are followed.
Supervise children during enrichment time, providing clear instructions and ensuring all students are actively engaged and participating.
Offer constructive feedback to students on their performance, encouraging progress and fostering a love for the sport.
Instill important values of teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship while playing.
Adjust the complexity of drills and activities based on the skill levels and abilities of the students, ensuring that each child is appropriately challenged and supported.
Provide feedback and updates on students' progress as needed, maintaining a positive relationship with parents or guardians.
Participate in a weekend training session to improve teaching strategies and align with the program’s goals and curriculum.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the soccer program by suggesting new activities, drills, and ideas that may enhance the learning experience.
Create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere where students are excited to learn, grow, and develop their soccer skills.
Requirements:
Previous experience in coaching or teaching soccer, particularly with children, preferred.
Comfortable managing and engaging children aged 4-12 in a group setting.
Ability to clearly communicate with children, parents, and staff, and provide positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
Genuine interest in helping children develop a love for soccer and sports.
Must be available for a weekend training session.
Demonstrate dependability and arrive on time for all scheduled sessions.
