The West Fargo Park District is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Sports Sampler Coaches for our January session. If you have experience working with young children and enjoy teaching a variety of sports in a fun and supportive environment, this position is for you!

Position Overview

As a Sports Sampler Coach, you will introduce youth ages 3-6 to a variety of sports and activities. You'll focus on teaching the basics of different sports in a fun and engaging way, helping young children develop physical skills and a love for sports. Activities include basketball, baseball, soccer, football, tag, and other games.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Activities: Instruct and lead children in various sports and games, ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment.

Teach Fundamentals: Introduce basic skills and concepts of different sports to young children.

Promote Fun and Learning: Create a positive, fun, and engaging atmosphere that encourages kids to try new activities.

Supervise Participants: Maintain a safe environment by supervising children during all activities.

Work Schedule

This seasonal position requires availability on the following days and times:

● Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, January 6-16.

Qualifications

● Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.

● Experience with Children: Prior experience working with young children, especially in sports or recreational activities.

● Communication Skills: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children and parents.

● Positive Attitude: An enthusiastic and supportive approach to coaching young athletes.
