    Sr. AV Service Technician

    Hybrid opportunity out of Nashville, TN.

    Starting at $26 hourly

    Position Overview: The Senior Service Technician is responsible for remote service calls for our customers. He/she will trouble shoot, repair, and meet customers’ needs and expectations to repair existing systems.

    Primary Essential Job Duties:

    • Remotely work with customers to answer and resolve service calls

    • Schedule and work with sub-contractors out of state to service customer systems

    • Become a subject matter expert on specific gear or a manufacturer line of equipment

    • Mentor new service technicians

    • Test and troubleshoot installed systems for defects

    • Train customers on currently installed projects

    • Make basic programming changes on Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, and others

    • Perform system software and firmware updates as needed

    • Configure AV equipment and control systems as needed, including but not limited to (AMX/Crestron/Extron); DSPs, matrix mixers and switchers; videoconferencing codecs and endpoints (Cisco/Polycom)

    • Maintain information including but not limited to documentation, invoices, service summaries, job hours

    • Regular and predictable attendance as scheduled

    • Keeping all company equipment in good shape including vehicle assigned

    • Work cooperatively with others.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Basic understanding of data network devices/networking

    • Advanced Crestron troubleshooting skills

    • Working level of knowledge on Cisco VTC systems and WebEx

    • Ability to troubleshoot from drawings

    • High level of computer skills

    • Ability to work without direction

    • Talent to take initiative

    • Travel not expected to exceed 30%

    • Critical thinking with the forethought of the job


    Education and Experience

    • Valid driver’s license with appropriate driving record


    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for long periods of time

    • Ability to work on a computer for long periods of time

    • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner

    • Ability to bend, squat and kneel

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    • Ability to climb ladders

    • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
