    Senior Accountant/Operations Analyst

    Our client is a leading global manufacturing company located in the San Fernando Valley area. They are seeking a strong Senior Accountant/Operations Analyst for their Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, you'll ensure timely and accurate accounting, including but not limited to price variance inquiry, freight processing, vouchering receipts, and processing of mill and other vendor claims.

    Scope of Responsibilities: 

    • Support leadership with all Accounting & Finance related duties for this business unit/manufacturing plant
    • Voucher metal receipts and validate metal receipts and resolve any potential issues.
    • Coordinate with plants and vendors to resolve incorrect Advance Shipping Notification transitions.
    • Communicate and resolve any payment discrepancies with Procurement and metal vendors.
    • Prepare price variance reports for customer pass-through and present to Sourcing & Pricing.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to price adjustment, rebate, tariff, metal enroute, monthly true up and perform account reconciliations.
    • Process all mill/vendor claims, initiate the collection process and prepare monthly reporting deck for executives.

    Requirements/Skills:

    • BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
    • 5 + years of experience or more in accounting preferably within a manufacturing environment
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
