A growing non-profit in Somerville is looking to add a Sr Accountant to its team. They're a public-private partnership that provides a variety of services to help businesses find qualified workers and job seekers find employment. This position will report directly to the Controller and CFO. The Sr Accountant will have a clear path for growth and eventually reach the Accounting Manager or Controller level. This hire will be responsible for grant management, general accounting, and preparation of financial statements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of either public or corporate accounting experience with exposure to the full lifecycle of the accounting process (month-end close, AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations) 
• Ability to be in the office 3 days a week
• Strong ability to work within Excel (VLOOKUPS and PivotTable)

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of GAAP and OMB Uniform Guidance for grants management.
• Supervisory experience (official or unofficial)
• CPA is preferred
• Experience with Blackbaud or comparable grant management reporting software
