    Job Title: Sr Accounting Manager

    Location: Remote with up to 25% travel required

    Overview

    Daisy is a national smart space installation and services company that simplifies smart home and office technology to make it work optimally, solving one of the biggest in-home problems today and bringing more joy into the lives of our clients.

    Reporting to the Controller, the Sr. Accounting Manager will have various duties and responsibilities in a company that will require you to work across different departments and take on several tasks within the accounting and finance niche. This person will work closely with various Daisy branches as well as cross-functionally with the internal team. The Sr Accounting Manager can be remote and will need to travel to Daisy branches up to 25% of the time.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Develop and enhance existing company’s financial and accounting policies and procedures

    Supporting accounting tasks or projects across various branches’ bookkeeping and office management staff

    Auditing accounts to ensure they comply with the company’s accounting policies and are GAAP and GAAS compliant

    Providing all accounting and financial reports and documents needed by the company’s management team

    Evaluating a company’s financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

    Reviewing financial statements to pinpoint possible errors

    Review monthly expense accruals across branches and departments

    Review the monthly income statement and balance sheet analytics

    Oversee personnel expense accounting and analytics, including monthly reconciliation of payroll system to GL, various bonus calculations and formal review of several key personnel account reconciliations

    Support month-end close, ensuring accuracy within deadline

    Approve journal entries as allocated and sign off on related balance sheet account reconciliations

    This role does not have direct reports or an accounting staff to oversee, we are an exciting, fast paced, rapid growth startup where we all ‘wear many hats’ until such time where the team may grow further

    Support initial audit of new branches books and financials

    Assist with integration of newly acquired entities into NetSuite

    Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned

    Requirements:

    Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    CPA preferrable but not required

    Ability to take on challenging opportunities and thrives in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines

    Ensure excellent communications including by proactively managing escalated issues and bring them to resolution

    Manage the combination of supporting while ongoing coaching of office management team members at branch locations who manage bookkeeping.

    Extremely organized and detail oriented – Maintaining a system of controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities across central team, and branch teams across various states

    Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax accountants, legal teams and other third parties

    Ability to be a positive, highly accountable team player – ready to work in an exciting environment that changes quickly

    Ideal, but not required, prior experience with Netsuite, Quickbooks Online, and Quickbooks Desktop

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Base Salary of $125K plus 20% commission
