    Who is Comagine Health?

    Comagine Health is a national, nonprofit, health care consulting firm. We work collaboratively with patients, providers, payers, and other stakeholders to reimagine, redesign and implement sustainable improvements in the health care system.

    As a trusted, neutral party, we work in our communities to address key, complex health, and health care delivery problems. In all our engagements and initiatives, we draw upon our expertise in quality improvement, care management, health information technology, analytics, and research.

    The Sr. Consultant will be the engagement lead for a single large state client contract that Comagine Health oversees.

    Main areas of focus:

    • Lead client engagements to ensure the successful completion of high-quality, value-driven projects and the development of innovative products.
    • Develop and oversee project plan; set milestones, reinforce expectations, and assign tasks; monitor and report on progress.
    • 12 years of consulting experience in the healthcare field required (additional 4 years of healthcare clinical and/or operational experience may be substituted for consulting experience)
    • 7 years of project management work experience in healthcare
    • Project involvement in a lead capacity with at least three major project efforts (e.g., full system implementations, operations mergers, major conversions, complex facility move, etc.).
    • Familiarity with modern healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, REST, X12)
    • Past experience working with healthcare data open APIs

    Requirements/Experience

    § 12 years of consulting experience in the healthcare field required (additional 4 years of healthcare clinical and/or operational experience may be substituted for consulting experience)

    § 7 years of project management work experience in healthcare

    Preferred

    PMP

    BA/BS

    Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    § Provide a variety of consulting and technical support on multiple, concurrent client projects

    § Effectively engage providers’ senior and executive leadership to obtain their sponsorship of project goals and objectives

    § Convene multiple interdisciplinary stakeholders within or beyond the client’s setting to build consensus, a shared vision, and action plans to successfully redesign their processes to be more effective and efficient

    § Lead team members (i.e., Comagine Health and client staff) to complete projects within timelines and budgets; motivate team members and resolve conflicts; marshal client resources to meet project deliverables

    § Develop and implement work plans and schedules

    § Provide feedback on technical strategy and design documentation

    § Prepare high quality, accurate and effective consulting deliverables including reports, presentations, and other documentation

    § Provide specific content and process subject matter expertise (on-site or through video conferencing)

    § Provide mentoring to assigned staff within scope of project work

    § Manage projects with quality completion of all work; manage project scope, budget, and schedule for the project; occasionally, manage more than one project, typically solo and/or smaller projects

    § Present findings and recommendations to clients via in-person formal or informal presentations

    § Lead workshops and strategy sessions for clients to uncover areas for improvement as well as assist in strategic planning

    § Recognize project needs outside of area(s) of expertise and coordinates involvement of appropriate Comagine Health resources to provide necessary information and guidance to clients

    § Identify tools and processes to optimize efficiency and integrity of services delivered to external customers

    Travel:

    Up to 25%

    Salary:

    $150,000 - $175,000. Salary is based in part on the residency of the candidate. As this position is fully remote within the Pacific and Mountain time zones the cost of labor index is taken into account for salary.
