    Job Description

    NBCUniversal is looking for a detail-oriented senior analyst to support data access and compliance solutions across enterprise platforms.

    The Sr Data Access & Compliance Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the build and maintenance of a preventive data controls framework, as well as developing business solutions to support stakeholders in meeting policy requirements. These responsibilities apply across the entire data supply chain, including consumer data onboarding, data enrichment, data use and data transfer.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Supporting a data governance roadmap that aligns with the organization’s strategic priorities
    • Creating standard operating procedures for data use
    • Reporting on access & compliance KPIs to measure against objectives
    • Securing and documenting relevant business and legal approvals for business use cases
    • Ensuring clear accountability for proper stewardship of consumer information throughout the data lifecycle
    • Developing requirements for automation of risk reduction activities
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies
    • Partnering with cyber, privacy, business legal, engineering and governance teams to ensure risk controls align with enterprise objectives
    • Identifying, reporting, and remediating data risk
    • Developing and implementing data standards and processes
    • Developing a network of data stewards, custodians and owners to ensure consistency in federated controls
    • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of primary experience in defining, documenting, and implementing data governance best practices, policies & procedures, preferably with consumer data in a large organization
    • Experience working successfully with stakeholders and partner teams to translate business needs into governance requirements
    • BA/BS in technical or quantitative discipline or significant relevant work experience
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across a complex organization.
    • Driven to understand data and its relevance to our business and product decisions
    • Combination of technical skill sets and business savvy to interface with influence all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive projects
    • Comfortable managing competing and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Understanding of consumer privacy statutes
    • Experience implementing controls to mitigate risk associated with sensitive data
    • Experience in media i and entertainment industry

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
