    We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our team in Sugar Land, TX.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead and coordinate Instrument & Control System Design for Oil & Gas Refineries and Chemical Plants.
    • Work with 2D AutoCAD, Excel, and preferably MicroStation, CADWorx, BlueBeam, and Access.
    • Review and redline P&IDs, interlock schematics, and motor schematics.
    • Develop wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, demo packages, and I/O loading documentation.
    • Design Junction Boxes, Marshalling Panels, and DCS/PLC Cabinets with BOM.
    • Create instrument installation details and generate material take-offs for estimates.
    • Develop conduit and cable tray drawings, including support details and sizing calculations.
    • Provide low-voltage electrical design (120 VAC & 24 VDC power for instruments, instrument power panels, grounding, and bonding per NEC standards).
    • Conduct field surveys and assist with hot/cold cutovers.
    • Ensure all work aligns with safety policies, industry codes, and client standards.
    • Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and clients.

    What You Bring

    Required:

    • 5-10+ years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design for Oil & Gas and Chemical industries.
    • High proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Excel.
    • Strong knowledge of instrumentation design, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
    • Ability to work in field environments and participate in cutover planning/execution.
    • Experience with fiber routing and general fiber optic knowledge.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with MicroStation, CADWorx, BlueBeam, and Access.
    • Familiarity with NEC codes and general electrical design.
