    JOB TITLE: Sr. Floral Designer

    Job Summary: Are you a talented and experienced floral designer with a passion for creating stunning floral arrangements? Our busy retail store has been in business since 1956 and offers a friendly and upbeat atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled Senior Floral Designer to join our creative team at Karin’s Florist. As a leading provider of exquisite flora designs, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality and unique creations to our clients. If you have a keen eye for detail, artistic flair, and the ability to bring ideas to life, we want to hear from you!

    Responsibilities:

    This role requires that you have 5+ years of floral design experience to create both modern and garden-style arrangements, ensuring every design meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.

    The ideal candidate has a rare combination of raw and trained design talent and a strong and reliable work ethic.

    The candidate must have knowledge of various design styles, mechanics and color theory. Relevant experience in customer service, skilled in communication, self- motivated with a positive attitude a must.

    Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision for weddings, corporate events, galas, and other special occasions, translating their desires into stunning floral designs that align with the client’s theme, budget, and preferences that exceed expectations.

    Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in floral design, incorporating them into your work to maintain a fresh and modern approach.

    Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the proper care and handling of flowers, tools, and equipment to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

    Requirements:

    Proven experience as a floral designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of floral styles and techniques.

    Strong knowledge of various floral arrangements and design techniques, including but not limited to bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and installations.

    Proficiency in selecting and handling a wide range of flowers and foliage, including knowledge of their seasonal availability and care requirements.

    Ability to lift 30 lbs. and stand for up to 8 to 10 hours during shifts.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

    Excellent artistic and creative skills, with a keen eye for color combinations, textures, and overall aesthetics.

    Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to motivate and guide a team of floral designers.

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

    Step in as a sales associate when needed, assisting customers with their floral selections, answering inquiries, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
