This job contributes to success by managing tactical store inventory replenishment, suggested orders, allocation functions, systems, and processes that are necessary to maintain appropriate in-store inventory levels. This role will support break-pack execution and the broader team in developing and executing replenishment plans.
The ideal candidate will has strong technical and data driven skills, have at least three years of inventory and supply chain experience, and have a background in working through ambiguity, problem solving and building relationships.
Sr. Inventory Planner Responsibilities:
- Setting inventory strategies and service level strategies; recommending optimum inventory levels and providing options to trade off cost vs. service level targets.
- Recommending store-focused solutions to meet store sales and financial targets.
- Leading process improvement efforts and adoption of new technology/capability rollouts.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to create replenishment planning policies based on strategic value and product lifecycle.
- Anticipating conflicts, communicating effectively, and leading resolution and decision-making when trade-offs exist.
- Gathering inputs from cross-functional teams to craft collaborative messaging that accurately conveys complex situations.
- Evaluating plan against expected output and past performance, then engaging in conversations to call out risk.
- Role modeling a positive and productive work environment and coaching peers to do the same.
Sr. Inventory Planner Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain with Inventory Management experience.
- Ability to build solid relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid technical acumen – proficiency with Microsoft Office and Oracle BI and strong Excel (v-lookup, pivot table) skills etc.
- This person should be able to troubleshoot problems, work in an ambiguous environment and learn quickly.
- Experience with store fulfillment from a distribution center in a retail environment is a big plus.
