How to Qualify To qualify for this position, you must have litigated at least 5 personal injury jury trials. Our firm is committed to ongoing innovation and ensuring all employees find fulfillment in their work on behalf of clients. Our technology and approach are on par with larger firms while maintaining the flexibility and camaraderie of a smaller practice. Candidates will need to undergo a background and reference check. Compensation: • Generous Base Salary and much more available in total compensation, origination bonus, and performance-based bonus compensation. Total compensation may be $500,000 or even greater, depending on your efforts, client originations, and incentive pay. Your compensation will be re-visited on a regular basis to ensure competitiveness with the market. There are also bonuses given based on the amount you have brought to the firm. Further incentives are based on the production of the department. Responsibilities: • Represent Personal Injury clients in every phase of the litigation process: filing lawsuits, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and post-trial motions • Oversee the handling of the cases from sign-up to an optimum resolution whether by trial or settlement • Work the time necessary to handle a heavy caseload • Mentor less experienced attorneys and litigation paralegals while maintaining a full caseload • You may earn bonuses in multiple ways, so it is expected that your work will reflect a desire to earn more • Supervise litigation paralegals in the POD • Collaborate closely with and provide direction for employees based overseas • Track the hours spent on each project Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school, such as a JD, LLM, or JSD • Membership in The State Bar of Georgia is required, additional bar memberships would be advantageous • A minimum of five(5) 1st or 2nd chair jury trials in personal injury should have been handled, along with experience in bench trials, appellate work, motions, mediation, and arbitration • Strong written and oral communication skills – a writing sample is required, and experience with appellate briefs or similar documents is preferred • Proficiency in research, drafting, and negotiating is a must • The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines is necessary • A strong fighting spirit and dedication to advocating for optimal results in litigation are crucial Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 (plus incentives)
