    Job Description

    Technology is at the heart of running great restaurants and a critical element of every major initiative underway within McDonald’s. Over the next few years, we will modernize technology as we deploy our new Restaurant Platform (POS, back office hardware, network infrastructure and digital menu board hardware) across the US!

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead the technical readiness of our restaurants and ensure technology preparedness as a prerequisite to deploying our restaurant technology platform across all US restaurants! This role will ensure restaurant technology preparedness for three critical initiatives that form the core of the new platform, ensuring successful implementation, integration, and adoption. The responsibilities of this position will overlap and integrate with those of the deployment senior manager to encompass the complete deployment process starting with restaurant readiness and concluding with successful deployment of all three initiatives. This role reports to the Director, Technology Deployment.

    Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    • Lead Restaurant Technology Assessments: Be responsible for the vendor and the process of evaluating restaurant technology and network infrastructure, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments using the existing tools.
    • Lead Remediation Projects: Coordinate with multiple remediation vendors to implement vital technology changes. Ensure all remediation work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
    • Ensure Deployment Readiness: Supervise the entire process from initial assessment to final readiness, ensuring each restaurant is fully prepared for the Restaurant Platform Foundation deployment.
    • Vendor Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with assessment and remediation vendors, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
    • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Supervise progress and address any issues to keep projects on track.
    • Quality Control: Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of assessments and remediation work.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present regular status reports to senior leadership. Communicate effectively with all partners to ensure alignment and transparency.
    • Training and Support: Coordinate training and support to any new vendors brought on to support the new technology implementations and processes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements and implement standard methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    The expected salary range for this role is $149,260- $190,310 ** __** per year

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple collaborators. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Shown experience in leading large-scale projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
    • Experience working with and managing external vendors. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple partners. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in assessments and remediation work.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present sophisticated information clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
    • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and circumstances. Remain flexible and open-minded in the face of ambiguity, demonstrating the ability to shift and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Experience in providing training and support to staff on new technology implementations.
    • Ability to find opportunities for process improvements and implement standard methodologies.
    • To be a change agent and have a strong passion for improving process
    • Retail technology experience with a focus on operations in a highly distributed environment
    • Broad experience across the IT SDLC including development, deployment and support, as well as multidisciplinary expertise in financial, vendor management, communications and getting results in a global organization
    • Strong ability to partner, negotiate and influence: peers and other technology leaders, leaders from other functions, and owner/operators
    • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at proactively finding opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.
