    Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
    Coon Rapids, MN | Direct-Hire | $110,000 – $140,000 | 100% Onsite
    Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing client who is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead the development of new products, enhance existing manufacturing processes, and drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role is pivotal in bridging product design with production, ensuring seamless transitions from prototype to full-scale manufacturing while upholding regulatory compliance and industry standards.

    Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

    • New Product Integration: Oversee and execute the seamless introduction of new products, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards from initial concept through mass production.
    • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine manufacturing workflows, incorporating lean principles and automation to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
    • Quality Enhancement: Establish and enforce quality assurance measures, ensuring compliance with customer expectations, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
    • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Implement strategies for cost savings, including material optimization, supplier collaboration, and process streamlining, to achieve production efficiency.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, quality assurance teams, production staff, and external vendors to develop scalable solutions that align with business growth objectives.
    • Manufacturing Innovation: Utilize expertise in mechanical engineering and manufacturing techniques to develop and refine assembly processes, tooling, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
    • Production Process Management: Lead the creation, validation, and continuous improvement of assembly workflows, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and cost control.
    • Develop, document, and implement engineering processes, tooling, and production workflows for newly introduced products.
    • Participate in design reviews, contributing insights on manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and production feasibility.
    • Conduct manufacturing workflow analysis to enhance floor layout, space utilization, fixture requirements, and efficiency.
    • Investigate and resolve production challenges, leveraging root cause analysis to improve performance and minimize defects.
    • Research and integrate new technologies, automation solutions, and process enhancements to elevate throughput and safety.
    • Establish and maintain robust quality control protocols to ensure compliance with safety, industry, and legal standards.
    • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, supplier documentation, and customer-facing materials as needed.
    • Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and lead process improvement initiatives to optimize production.
    • Develop work instructions, training materials, and procedural documentation for assembly, inspection, and packaging.

    Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
    • Deep understanding of manufacturing methodologies, process optimization, and quality control systems.
    • Proven track record of successfully launching new products and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Experience driving cost-reduction strategies while maintaining quality and operational excellence.
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks, ERP/MRP systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong organizational and project management capabilities to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
    • A proactive, self-motivated approach, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and their application in a manufacturing setting.
