A Large healthcare organization is looking for a Contract to Hire Sr Pharmacy Technician for the Houston area.

Schedule: Monday – Friday - 8:30am – 5:30pm

As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, Following USP 797 and company policies and cleaning daily, packaging and pulling medications and supplies, assisting with stocking shelves and assisting with monthly inventory tasks. You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. You will also be speaking to patients, scheduling deliveries and refilling prescriptions weekly. It’s a fast – paced, high – volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes lifesaving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

Calling patients and scheduling deliveries weekly
Following USP 797 and company policies for compounding and cleaning daily
Packaging and pulling medications and supplies
Assisting with stocking shelves
Assisting with monthly inventory tasks

• Speaking to patients, scheduling deliveries and refill prescriptions weekly
• May need to stock medications as needed
• May need to assist with labeling and organizing medications and supplies as needed
• May need to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously as needed
• May include other duties as assigned by the PIC

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
• 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or other pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 1 year of Home Infusion experience Sterile Compounding
