    We are looking for proactive, adaptable and motivated Cost estimator with 5 years of experience overseeing multiple complex projects in the electric utility industry with proven record of working independently with minimal supervision.

    Critical Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Used to working with numerous large projects (cost) with frequent Change Orders

    • Develop and maintain project budgets/baselines, short- and long-term forecasts, and expenditure plans for assigned large, multi-year projects

    • Develop or prepare routine and ad-hoc reports to assist PMs and OU partners to monitor, manage, and forecast costs (e.g. budget, actual, commitment, contingency, earned value, cost per unit, cost impact analysis) for assigned large, multi-year project(s) in response to internal or external data requests

    • Create and maintain a risk register to evaluate contingency needed

    • Perform detailed research, updates, what-if scenarios, and data gathering/analysis in areas of cost controls

    • Collaborate with and obtain data/information from various project stakeholders

    • Effective communicator; able to speak with many different levels of management

    • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with project or program stakeholders.

    • Manage service levels with varying degrees of complexity and requirements appropriate to the position.

    • Meet performance goals set forth in an effective and safe manner

    • Required to make day-to-day, routine decisions based on company/department’s policies, guidelines, and work instructions

    • Demonstrated expertise in Project controls and/or project management and construction

    • Direction from direct supervisor and/or guidance from direct supervisor, project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management preferred

    · Seven or more years’ experience in cost controls/management

    · More than 5 years of experience in Project Management

    · More than 5 years in Construction (Electric Utility Construction preferred)

    · Electrical Utility, Transmission and Generation (Highly preferred)

    · Utility construction/CA regulated/regulatory/EPC experience desirable

    · Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Solutions application

    · Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Project Controls software (e.g. Project, Primavera and Contract Manager)
