    Job Description

    The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the development of the facility construction, show production and integration for attraction development (the “Project”), including all planning, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, design, construction, fabrication, delivery, and commissioning required to open the Project within the assigned budget, quality, schedule, creative and guest experience targets.

    Organize and establish effective project management procedures; coordinate and manage design decisions and construction document production; avoid contract claims and disputes; minimize change orders; effectively manage changes in the Project; eliminate interface disruptions between project participants; maintain, and where possible improve the Project schedule and budget; ensure quality design and construction work; emphasize “hands-on” management of field operations; establish and maintain a competent and experienced staff; implement efficient and timely document control.

    Job Responsibilities

    Design Management

    • Oversee coordination and execution of creative and architectural designs, ensuring delivery aligns with initial concept goals.
    • Oversee the selection, contracting, and performance of Architects, Engineers, and Technical Designers.
    • Ensure project designs align with creative intent, budget, and schedule.

    Construction & Implementation

    • Lead the qualification, procurement, contracting, and performance oversight of Contractors, Vendors, Manufacturers, and Fabricators for facility development.
    • Ensure adherence to project procedures for documentation, including RFIs, Directives, Submittals, Meeting Minutes, Punch Lists, and Pay Applications.

    Show & Ride Systems Oversight

    • Ensure all Show and Ride equipment meets the highest safety standards in compliance with company specifications and industry practices.
    • Manage technical interactions with Responsible Engineers, Vendors, Subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Maintain clear communication with Specialty & General Contractors regarding installation, testing, and adjustments.

    Technical & Risk Management

    • Uphold technical principles to ensure quality and successful project deliverables.
    • Advise Attraction leadership on technical challenges and solutions.
    • Provide regular updates to the Director of Engineering on system performance, risks, and quality.

    Environmental, Health & Safety

    • Actively participate in EHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety training.

    Personnel & Team Management

    • Recruit, develop, and manage a project team of 10-20 professionals, including Architects, Engineers, Project Managers, and Technical personnel.
    • Ensure team performance aligns with project success and organizational policies.

    Budget & Scheduling

    • Manage the overall project budget and schedule, ensuring alignment with approved objectives.

    Project Reporting & Documentation

    • Track and report on project budget, schedule, and progress to upper management.
    • Maintain accurate records to support successful project completion.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree is required in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business administration or a related field.
    • Master’s degree in is preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 10-15 years of experience in the development and management of major projects with hospitality/entertainment/theme park experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Licenses in Architecture or Engineering are preferred.
    • Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Proven Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Influences decisions of major nature. High degree of tact & diplomacy to obtain favorable decisions or maintain good will.
