Our client is a growing Commercial Construction Company in the Lenexa, KS area and is looking for a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will desire to grow and be the best they can be while working in a place where you’re valued.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares bid packages for vendors and subcontractors
• Is resourceful and creative to achieve cost-saving options wile maintaining quality 
• Ability to locate, qualify and build relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Clear understanding of commercial construction methods
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Ensures all bids are properly covered on bid day
• Can communicate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and clients
• A team player who works well with others and can effectively direct and manage people
• Ability to manage superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain or improve the project budget and schedule
• Can lead by example with exceptional work ethics and character
• Can identify areas for improvement and then develop and implement processes to achieve excellence
• Negotiate prepare and execute contracts
• Can hire and effectively manage staff under them
• Is comfortable with various technology and software
• Has the desire to be the best in their field
• Is comfortable in networking settings and large groups

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
• 5+ years of project management in a GC environment
• Estimating experience/exposure is preferred
