What you get to do in this role:

• Develop an innovative and advanced telemetry ingestion pipeline for ITOM Health utilizing industry-standard technologies such as Go, Kubernetes, and Open Telemetry
• Design, build, and operate a highly available, resilient and scalable service within a microservices architecture
• Establish and implement DevOps practices for engineering teams at ServiceNow
• Collaborate with a forward-thinking community of engineers and leaders to devise new methods for building and deploying software

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
• 6+ years of experience with Go, Rust, Python or similar programming languages
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Strong analytical and system design skills
• Experience building modular UI in Javascript using frameworks like React
• Excellent communication skills, proven ability to work cross functionally, exercising influence without authority
• Prior experience building distributed, scalable data streaming applications is an added advantage
• Experience with technologies such as ElasticSearch, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink or other stream/log processing systems is preferred
• Experience building services running in Kubernetes is an added advantage

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $140,700 - $239,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
