Job Summary
As a Technical Specialist, you will use a new system, Terminal Precipitation on the Glass (TPoG) to process NextGen Weather Processor (NWP) precipitation data. You will provide expertise in requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of computer systems.
Responsibilities
2nd level engineering support
Support system development, testing, integration, and deployment activities
Evaluate and comment on system engineering, requirement, testing, and maintenance planning documents
Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, etc.
Develop and manage system engineering, requirements, and testing artifacts and required product baseline artifacts
Tester for system test and key site test activities
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required and 10 years of related experience, including at least 5 years of National Air Space (NAS) systems experience and Demonstrated expertise at Technical Specialist 4 level OR
An Associates Degree in a related field will be accepted with 8 years of related experience, including National Air Space (NAS) systems experience
Technical Proficiencies
Required
Experience with requirements definition and maintenance planning
System testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation
Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills
Have experience and an understanding of systems, databases, networking, computer environments, and virtualization
Desired
Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation and system diagrams
Knowledge of Aviation Weather Products
