Test engineer with strong SQL skills
Cloud Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with specific cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or others, depending on the company's technology stack.
Database Services: Experience with cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL, or NoSQL databases in the cloud, and the ability to interact with them using SQL.
SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL to query, manipulate, and validate data in cloud-based databases. This includes writing complex SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and test data setup.
Data Migration: Ability to perform data migration tasks, such as moving data to or from cloud-based databases, transforming data during migration, and ensuring data integrity.
Database Performance: Understanding of how to monitor and optimize database performance in a cloud environment, including SQL query optimization.
Test Automation: Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks that can be used in conjunction with cloud services and databases. This might include tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or cloud-specific testing tools.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, which can be used to provision and manage cloud infrastructure for testing purposes.
API Testing: Experience with testing cloud-based APIs, microservices, or serverless functions that interact with cloud databases.
Security and Compliance: Awareness of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, especially as they pertain to data stored in cloud databases.
SQL Certification is PLUS
Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to cloud-based databases, which may involve SQL query analysis.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cloud engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that testing aligns with cloud architecture and objectives.
Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting or programming languages commonly used in cloud environments, such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.
Documentation: Skills in documenting test plans, test cases, and test results related to cloud-based systems and databases.
Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
