Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish with advanced proficiency in English grammar, syntax, and language structure.
- Proven ability to transcribe Spanish audio accurately into Spanish text.
- Skilled in translating Spanish content into natural, idiomatic English, capturing the tone, intent, and meaning without relying on literal translation.
- Exhibits comprehensive understanding of subtitle formatting standards and closed captioning regulations, including compliance with FCC guidelines in English and Spanish.
- Prior experience utilizing transcription and translation tools, including speech-to-text software (e.g., AWS, Stanza, CCC, OOONA) and AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools for transcription and translation processes, including contributing to workflow optimization and model updates.
Desired Characteristics:
- Familiarity with dubbing processes, including managing dubbing assets and ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
- Exceptional communication, time management, analytical and organizational skills
- Self-starter who exhibits ownership on assigned tasks and who will push for solutions that solve immediate problems while building towards long-term goals
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment

- As this is a critical operations position, candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
- Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
- This position is required to be performed on a Hybrid basis from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
