    Position Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced VMware Administrator with 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our VMware infrastructure while ensuring high availability and performance.Candidate should also have a Secret Clearance.

    There are a few requirements for the position:

    • Must be a U.S Citizen - Authorized to Work in the US - Must be able to obtain a Active Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
    • Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related components
    • Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and performance tuning of virtual infrastructure
    • Manage storage infrastructure integration with VMware environment, including SAN/NAS solutions
    • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
    • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and resource utilization
    • Handle upgrades, patches, and maintenance of VMware infrastructure components
    • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures
    • Troubleshoot complex issues across the virtualization stack
    • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • 7+ years of experience administering enterprise VMware environments
    • VMware certified professional (VCP) certification required; advanced certifications preferred
    • Strong experience with:
    • VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x (ESXi and vCenter)
    • vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite
    • Storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
    • Windows Server and Linux operating systems
    • PowerShell and shell scripting
    • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code
    • ITIL certification
