The Staff Accountant is responsible for the management of all areas of the financial and accounting operations. Attention to detail and knowledge of company policy as well as adherence to accounting practices will be key to your success. This opportunity is located in Wichita, Kansas and is for a full-time, salaried, in-person position.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records by always following GAAP and company processes
Completes Budget to Actual review quarterly
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Communicate professionally with vendors and coworkers at all times
Oversee daily reconciliation of payments
Handle secondary tasks as assigned by management while keeping focus on primary objectives
Monitor company cash flow
Oversee purchase order process
Prepare financial statements including income statement and balance sheet
Ensure data accuracy and consistency for all accounting related functions
Help create accurate budgets
Prepare payroll on a bi-weekly basis
Complete monthly reconciliations
Requirements:
3-5 years of accounting experience; bachelor's degree preferred in accounting or finance
Highly organized to track and manage multiple work flows while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong abilities related to Excel and other office software
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Schedule:
8 hour days; additional hours may be required
8AM until 5PM - Monday through Friday
