    Job Summary

    Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible to work with the Accounting/Finance team to reconcile accounts, prepare and enter journal entries, assist in annual audit, and other duties assigned with the finance realm.

    Essential Job Duties

    The Staff Accountant will complete monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.

    The Staff Accountant will complete monthly cash reconciliation of all accounts.

    The Staff Accountant will prepare and enter monthly journal entries.

    The Staff Accountant, in conjunction with the Grants department, will complete monthly reconciliation of grants/sub-grants.

    The Staff Accountant will assist the controller with annual audits.

    The Staff Accountant will oversee Sr. Financial Analyst in payables and cash receipts.

    The Staff Accountant will act as a secondary payroll processor.

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related

    3-5 years accounting experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in a medical clinic.

    Experience with third party billing and reimbursement.

    Experience in online payroll preparation.

    Experience at a non-profit organization.

    Other Required Skills and Qualities

    Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

    Competent in MS Office. Highly proficient in Excel.

    Highly skilled with Sage Intacct accounting software.

    Experience with online payroll preparation.

    Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, and other related hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region/Region IX providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
