    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Reporting: * Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. * Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
    2. General Ledger Accounting: * Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. * Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting principles.
    3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: * Process and review invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance. * Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and aging analysis.
    4. Budgeting and Forecasting: * Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. * Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to support decision-making.
    5. Compliance and Auditing: * Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations. * Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    6. Financial Analysis: * Perform financial analysis to support management in strategic planning and decision-making. * Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and trends.
    7. Special Projects: * Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management. * Support the implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in property management or real estate industry.
    • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, MRI) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
