  • Responsibilities

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting executive decision-making with timely financial insights. This role requires experience in managing intercompany transactions, consolidating financials across multiple entities, and ensuring seamless financial coordination between Nu-Tek Roof Systems and B&B Siding & Roofing. The role also requires experience with managing workflows between CRM platforms such as Acculynx, HubSpot and QuickBooks Online. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable , ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections across multiple entities. • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. • Maintain general ledger accounts , post journal entries, and manage month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple companies. • Maintain financial record workflow between software platforms for the benefit of reporting and accurate financial records. • Process payroll , including reviewing timesheets, tax filings, and benefits administration across entities. • Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with a strong focus on intercompany reporting. • Set up and maintain loan amortization schedules. • Monitor loan payment schedules, balances, and interest calculations. • Monitor cash flow , forecast financial needs, and provide financial analysis to support business decisions. • Work closely with the Controller and Management Team to improve financial processes and enhance profitability. • Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations , coordinating with external accountants as necessary. • Manage and track intercompany transactions , ensuring accurate allocation and reconciliation between entities. • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience , preferably in a construction, roofing, or multi-entity company. • Strong experience with intercompany transactions , including reconciliation and consolidation. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel, Google suites (pivot tables, financial modeling is required). • Acculynx and Hubspot experience preferred. • Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and financial reporting. • Experience processing payroll, tax filings, and reconciliations across multiple entities. • Familiarity with job costing and project-based financial tracking. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. • Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE
