    Summary

    O6 Environmental is looking for an energetic and strong Staff Accountant to assist with its growing accounting needs. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will manage the bank reconciliation, month end journal entries, financial analyses, and other financial and accounting tasks. The role is designed for an experienced accountant who is looking for upward mobility as O6 Environmental continues to grow through organic and inorganic channels. In the past year, the Company has doubled its headcount and revenues.

    This individual will have significant freedom and must be self-driven as there will not be day-to-day oversight.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    • Review financial transactions to ensure the financial statements are correct
    • Perform bank reconciliation daily and investigate any open items
    • Prepare and enter month-end journal entries
    • Manage sales tax obligations and file reports with the appropriate agencies
    • Assist the CFO and Controller by performing financial analyses, cash flow forecasting, and investor reporting
    • Assist the AP and AR departments with transactional questions to ensure the general ledger and subledgers are correct
    • Interact with Project Managers to gather information on general ledger transactions to ensure financial statements are reported correctly
    • Prepare information for external auditors

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Self-motivated and proven ability to operate without day-to-day guidance
    • Superior interpersonal communication skills
    • Eager to learn, and to teach/mentor
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with CMiC ERP software preferred

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
    • CPA preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Sitting for long periods of time at a desk
    • Write, type, and use the computer, telephone, copier and other office equipment systems.
