    Job Title: Staff Accountant

    Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Location: Home Office Employment Type: Full-time/Exempt

    Position Overview

    The Staff Accountant is a key financial role in our restaurant organization, responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and focusing on cash flow management and compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role contributes to the company’s financial health by maintaining accurate records, analyzing financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Management (50%)

    Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as prepared in conjunction with third-party providers.

    Manage general ledger accounts and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts payable, receivable, and bank transactions.

    Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational stability and financial health.

    AR, Collect Payments from our wholesale clients.

    Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of financial systems, including R365 and QuickBooks.

    Compliance and Reporting (30%)

    Review and verify sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.

    Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial documentation.

    Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.

    Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.

    Support and Special Projects (20%)

    Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.

    Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

    Provide financial support for special projects, included but not limited to new store openings and operational initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

    2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

    Proficiency in financial systems such as R365, QuickBooks, and Excel.

    Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.

    Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    Effective communication and collaboration skills.
