We are looking for an ambitious Staff Accountant to join our finance department and provide essential support by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be an integral part of the team who will not only keep the lights on, but also ensure that our leaders have all the financial information needed to make strong business decisions.
You are well-versed in accounting principles and will execute every task with a meticulous eye and inquisitive mind. As our new Staff Accountant, you’ll grow as a professional and make a real impact on the success of our team.
Responsibilities
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- process balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Review expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Communicate and enforce purchasing policies and payment requisition procedures with staff and vendors, maintain vendor files
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Carry out projects and assignments independently with minimal oversight
- Assist in preparation of the Company's 10-Q and 10-K filings.
Requirements and skills
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance
- 3 years profession full time experience as a Staff Accountant
- Ability to use good judgment and problem solving skills
- Exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding in Accounting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and NetSuite
- Multitasking skills and ability to meet deadline with accuracy
- Ability to be onsite in our Culver City office at least twice a week
Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience.
