  • Responsibilities

    We are a growing CPA firm in Cape Coral, FL, Macias, and Associates, looking for a versatile Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle tax preparation for Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Payroll, be proficient in QuickBooks, and be responsible for Financial Statements. Effective client communication is a must. While a CPA or EA background is preferred, it is not mandatory. Experience in Public Accounting is a plus. This position is based in our office. Responsibilities: • Provide accounting and tax services to small businesses. • Ability to review and correct client general ledger for tax preparation and planning. • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing (respond to client questions – tax and accounting/bookkeeping; request information needed to fulfill the engagement). • Working knowledge of QuickBooks. • Ability to review tax returns. • Ability to research, evaluate, and provide resolution to questions during preparation of tax returns and financial statements. • Coordinate work with “team members” and able to work independently within the scope of the project. • Utilize technology and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing processes. • Dedication to profession/work and high standard of work ethics. Qualifications: • 2 to 5 years of work experience in a CPA firm. • Individual and Business Tax Return preparation experience is required. • QB Desktop & online: 3 years (Preferred). • Working knowledge of UltraTax program a Plus. • QuickBooks Proadvisor certification a Plus. • EA or CPA license preferred. Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 yearly
