    Location: Walden Ave, Cheektowaga, NY (Opposite Target, behind our retail location)
    Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

    Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

    Are you a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper ready to lead and make a significant impact? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and assist with rapid growth. This role ensures our financial operations run seamlessly and efficiently while providing strategic insights to the leadership team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger and chart of accounts for 9 entities, covering 30 stores over those 9 entities.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
    • Monthly Preparation and filing of multi-state sales tax returns.
    • Assist in accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with Manager
    • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
    • Manage daily bank balances and cash flow recommendations
    • Preparation of Journal entries and due-to-from balancing (large volume)
    • Reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts – Large volume capacity (includes all data entry of charges).
    • Reconciliation of lease (store locations) Base Rent Terms, CAM, Taxes, and Extras.
    • Assistance of new software implementation under manager's guidance.
    • Provide financial insights and strategies to leadership for cost reduction and efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
    • Optimize financial reporting and operations using accounting software and tools.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and financial policies.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
    • Experience: At least 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-location retail or service environment.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and payroll processing.
      • Advanced ability to adapt to everchanging technology solutions
    • Soft Skills:
      • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Reporting Structure:

    • Reports to the Director of Operations and Accounting , Vice President of Accounting and Operations , and the CEO.
