Three Oaks Hospitality is growing its team again! We are currently seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to conduct weekly bank reconciliations and assist the senior accountant with financial reporting. Successful candidates will be self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Additionally, candidates should have prior accounting experience, knowledge of accounting procedures, and strong attention to detail. This is a full time temporary position with the opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidate. Applicants must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday at our corporate office.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank account and credit card accounts for multiple locations.
- Complete sales validations daily and resolve discrepancies with store managers.
- Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Review and maintain weekly credit card chargebacks and resolve discrepancies with store managers.
- Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Prioritize and respond to email inquiries.
- Assists with internal and external audits.
- Assist with month end closing including journal entries, analysis, inquires, and review.
- Accurately completes assigned projects by the deadline.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support the accounting department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Technical accounting skills, including account reconciliation.
- Strong computer software knowledge/skills, including excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Restaurant industry accounting experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
