    STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    Our client is an established and well known Professional Services firm operating in multiple states. They are growing and seeking a Driven and Ambitious Staff Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. 

    Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the firm. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards [US GAAP] and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and excellent analytical skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Key business partner to the Head of Marketing and Real Estate entity
    • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and JEs related to assigned entities. 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the firm (primary focus on marketing and real estate entities).
    • FP&A: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and actual vs. budget variance analysis.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
    • Process accounts payable /AP and receivable/AR, ensuring timely payments and collections and reconciliations.
    • Support the firm’s trust accounts in compliance with state/bar regulations and firm policies.
    • Perform and assist with payroll processing and related financial reporting.
    • Provide support to the GL team during monthly, quarterly reporting and annual audits and tax filings (as needed)
    • Collaborate with the legal team to support client billing and collections.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
    • Assist with the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
    • Perform other accounting and financial duties and special projects as assigned by the Financial Controller & CFO.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance from an accredited college/university 
    • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment (but not mandatory).
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices [US GAAP].
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced)
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Important to have a sense of urgency and
    • Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

    $90,000 per year
