Responsibilities: • Plan and execute audits and review procedures for governmental and non-profit clients, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation. • Collaborate directly with Partners and Managers to address client and engagement management issues effectively. • Establish clear and concise communication with clients' internal accounting and auditing departments to ensure exceptional service provision. • Strengthen existing client relationships and identify opportunities for new business development. • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants to cultivate a collaborative and educational work environment. • Conducting audits and review procedures for a diverse client base • Collaborating with Partners and Managers to strengthen client relationships and explore new business opportunities Qualifications: Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) • Experience: 1+ year in external audit within public accounting or a blend of governmental public accounting and GAAP financial statement review/compilation (preferred) • Knowledge: Strong grasp of governmental accounting and auditing standards • Skills: • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Travel: Must have a personal vehicle for client site visits, meetings, or seminars, with frequent daily travel and occasional overnight stays Ready to advance your career and make an impact as a Senior Auditor at Zupka Associates?
