We are seeking a Staff Data Engineer with a strong full-stack engineering foundation and a passion for building robust, scalable, and data-centric solutions. This is a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and enabling our AI-driven products to deliver maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Software Development: Develop and optimize full-stack applications, ensuring seamless integration between data systems, APIs, and user-facing components.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and build solutions to store, process, and retrieve data efficiently.
- System Architecture: Architect data platforms that balance scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness while supporting real-time and batch processing.
- Tooling & Automation: Implement tools to automate data ingestion, transformation, and quality monitoring processes.
- Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to understand their data needs and build systems that empower their work.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience as a full-stack engineer with a focus on data-intensive systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala for backend development.
- Strong frontend development skills using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with big data tools and frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Data Architecture & Engineering:
* Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
* Experience designing data lakes, warehouses, and streaming systems.
* Proficiency in ETL/ELT development and data transformation techniques.
- Additional Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* A passion for creating reliable, maintainable, and high-performing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Background in handling high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Previous experience in a startup environment or a fast-paced, agile team.
Salary Range: 180k-200k
