Position Summary
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmacy services to patients, associated facilities, and providers. Pharmacist is responsible for consulting with patients, nurses and physicians on the therapy of the patients and to confirm the correct medication and dosing. The pharmacist oversees the job of the Pharmacy Technicians. Essential Functions
Overseeing day-to-day operations and direct level supervision of the pharmacy team, ensuring each pharmacy meets or exceeds corporate and operational expectations in all functional areas.
Supports pharmacy operations through respective pharmacy manager, ensuring compliance with State and Federal laws, as well as conformity with Icure Policies and Procedures.
Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all job-related interactions.
Ensure that pharmaceuticals are accurately dispensed in accordance with pharmacy protocols and physician orders.
Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
Fills prescriptions accurately and follow all SOPs to ensure quality and avoid errors.
Administer vaccinations following applicable state laws and regulations.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, pharma, and health care providers.
Be the advocate for business both internally and externally – solicit/value employee's perspectives and help recruit talent.
Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all job-related interactions.
Help to determine ways to reduce costs without sacrificing customer satisfaction.
Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy.
Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Minimum Required Qualifications:
· Active Pharmacy License in the state of New York
· Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
· Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
Education and/or Training:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Pharmacy
Advance training in managing specialty pharmacy patients
Professional Experience:
Experience in customer service and leadership
Experience in core elements of pharmacy and business operations, including purchasing, customer service, financial management, operational excellence, clinical programs, and inventory control
Experience hiring, training, and developing teams
Specialized Skills:
5+ year experience in the retail pharmacy environment
Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops: reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
Clinical reporting and oversight, ability to partner with pharma and payers to ensure optimal clinical outcomes for high tough patients
Knowledge and experience in the Specialty pharmaceutical supply chain and competitive landscape.
ability to organize and plan the activities of subordinates and delegates appropriately.
Ability to make efficient business decisions
Proven success in a fast-paced environment, working with a team and individually
Technical Skills:
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT), Outlook & Internet applications
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience with communication at an executive level.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem solving, and planning skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to continuously sit and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to bend or squat occasionally
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
