    Job Description

    In this role you are working on the ServiceNow, "application core service" Quality Engineering team. We work on the foundational set of features and functionalities within a specific application that provides the essential building blocks for managing core processes related to that application area, acting as the primary engine behind its operations and allowing for further customization and extension with additional features and workflows. The Core QE team at ServiceNow to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that empower businesses while contributing to a team-oriented and forward-thinking environment.

    • Maintain existing automation test frameworks.
    • Collect and report quality metrics from test execution.
    • Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them.
    • Create comprehensive test plans; execute and automate them
    • Work with the engineering organizations in troubleshooting or addressing issues with applications and dev/test environments.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role you have:

    • 6+ years professional experience in quality assurance or application development and taking the initiative with quality efforts within a scrum team of 4-6 QE engineers
    • 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
    • Experience in Java programming with Selenium, JUnit and TestNG, JavaScript.
    • Experience with Eclipse, Jenkin, Maven, and Git
    • Experience with different testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect
    • Advanced working knowledge and ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks
    • Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with an knowledge of SDLC concepts

    For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $143,600 - $251,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
