    Overview: GlenOaks Senior Living Campus is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. This key role involves managing staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage, and supporting various operational needs, including as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Scheduler, and Bus Driver. This position will help ensure we have the right staff in place to provide excellent care for our residents while also assisting with transportation needs. The Staffing Coordinator will work closely with department heads and staff to maintain an efficient, compliant, and well-staffed environment.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Staffing Coordination : Develop and manage the staffing schedule for all departments to ensure adequate coverage, considering employee availability, shift preferences, and facility needs.
    • CNA Responsibilities : Provide direct patient care as needed, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) for residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
    • Scheduler : Communicate with staff regarding scheduling changes, call-offs, and overtime requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant staffing regulations and work hours.
    • Bus Driver : Provide transportation services for residents to appointments, outings, and events as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
    • Track and manage staff attendance, ensuring compliance with attendance policies and addressing any issues that arise.
    • Maintain and update employee availability and leave records accurately.
    • Work closely with management to anticipate staffing needs and proactively address potential shortages or scheduling gaps.
    • Assist with new staff onboarding and training, ensuring accurate scheduling and appropriate staffing assignments.
    • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure that staff certifications, licenses, and training requirements are up to date.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including reporting of worked hours, overtime, and shift differentials.
    • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with residents, families, and staff.
    • Assist with other office tasks as necessary, including maintaining office supplies and documentation.

    Education & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred.
    • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
    • Previous experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or human resources is highly preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record; Bus Driver certification (DOT Medical Exam) is required. CPR certification is required.
    • Previous experience driving passenger vehicles or buses, especially in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with scheduling or HR software is a plus.
    • Knowledge of staffing regulations and labor laws in healthcare settings is an advantage.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or materials up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to drive a bus or other vehicle for extended periods.
    • Ability to assist residents with mobility, including standing, bending, and lifting.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
    • Dexterity for operating office equipment and vehicles.
