We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stainless Steel Finisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precision grinding, smoothing, deburring, and polishing of stainless steel components to achieve high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship. Responsibilities: • Perform precision smoothing, grinding, deburring, and polishing of stainless steel to achieve a range of finishes. • Grind and smooth out welded seams and joints, then polish and blend the cosmetic finish on stainless steel. • Examine workpieces for defects using proper measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications. • Detect defects such as dents, scratches, or breaks by examining and feeling the surface of the metal. • Perform general labor tasks, including light lifting and moving of materials. • Assist in the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment as assigned. • Understand work requirements by studying work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and reference planes. • Complete assigned work within the given time frame according to specifications. Qualifications: • High proficiency in grinding and finishing to very specific and high-quality standards. • Experience welding and finishing stainless steel. • Ability to use abrasive belts and wheels for grinding and polishing. • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and correct defects. • Good physical stamina for performing manual tasks and handling materials. Compensation: $18 - $33 hourly
