Job Description

Standard Roofing is seeking a highly motivated, detailed oriented person to join our team as a bookkeeper. This position will handle the company’s bookkeeping, accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable and assist in other financial matters within the company.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts and other information

· Reconcile various general ledger accounts to internally and externally prepared schedules

· Assist in processing payroll and data entry

· Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities

· Perform bank reconciliations

· Submit financial reports

· Perform basic accounting functions

· Reconciliation of monthly reports

· Maintain accurate inventory system

· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Assist in preparation of Workers Comp and GL audits

· Maintain weekly and quarterly transactions and recordkeeping of payroll tax liabilities

· Monitor generation and entry of benefit payments to each Union as required

· Assist in recordkeeping and documentation as needed

· Bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Business, Finance)

· Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software

· Attends weekly meetings and communicates issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
