Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one occupational therapy to developmentally delayed babies and toddlers within the Early Intervention program across New York City.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate and guide them on effective strategies that ensure continued progress between sessions.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, and other required reports in accordance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated care for each child.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist license with the NYS Office of Professions.
- Experience: Experience working with children aged 0-3 is preferred. DOH Approval is required for independent contractors.
- Skills: Strong ability to manage a caseload independently, with excellent communication skills for interacting with families and team members.
