Nextten Stauer, LLC is currently looking to hire an Accounts Payable Staff Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance team at our Burnsville, MN location.

JOB SUMMARY

Working under the supervision of the Controller, this position coordinates the day-to-day payables processing and vendor communication.  Accuracy and the ability to meet reporting deadlines are essential to assist management with financial reporting and analysis.  This position also works with banking and cash management on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and complete daily accounts payable and disbursements process as follows:

• Review and enter all PO and Non-PO Accounts payable transactions
• Maintain the Multiview database for vendor invoices
• Review all outstanding payables and create the weekly wire and check payment schedules
• Work with and maintain positive and effective communication with all key vendors and approvers
• Review all cash flow / transactions on a daily basis and update the daily cash reports
• Work with Controller to maintain and update the cash flow forecast
• Process and complete month-end close transactions
• Review and enter expense report and company credit card transactions
• Resolve any memo or other vendor issues
• Complete all 1099’s at year-end
• Prepare support for bank and external auditors
• File and remit sales taxes to multiple states on a monthly basis
• Maintain petty cash account and reconciliation
• Identify cost savings as part of invoice review
• Reconcile vendor statements to A/P subledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Special projects as needed

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• 4 year degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Ability to take ownership for areas of responsibility
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• Ability to communicate effectively – oral and written
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Analytical skills, self-initiative and creativity
• Ability to leverage technology and effect process improvements
• Proficient in MS Office applications and ERP systems (Hyperion,Multiview and Ecometry a plus)
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS Excel is required
• Detail oriented, focus on accuracy, completeness and organization
